Working overseas is really challenging to other particularly for first timers. They usually cry and have overcharged in their phone bills. For others, they make friends with other and sometimes have a relationship with someone to overcome the so-called the essential basic needs every mankind.
As a very simple person, I have been killing my time with my friends particularly when I was in Fujian, China. I made friends to both foreigners and Chinese in Fujian named Xixi (my big chinese sister), Joy, Vicky, NIckolas, Lali, Matt, DR. Naveen and of course Sharon (the real-love hunter), Maricris ( the futuristic). These buddies are great and I thank God for having this people as part of my life.
In Fujian, Sharon and I usually hit the road for 2 hours if we wanna meet our great buddies in Xiamen, every weekends and holidays. I had so many memories with these great intelligent living creatures (hahaha). First, We climbed Nan Pu to (South Temple, just near Xiamen University. We took so many pictures , we even criticize those people hiking the mountain wearing high heel (we were laughing while hiking.) Second, We even had a great memories on New Year's Eve of 2009. Sharon was drunk and she went to the seashore and let her the wave take her. ( this is really very funny). Maricris and I did not know about her plan. While we were dancing with some friends, I received a message from Sharon, asking me to go her place coz the tide is getting high it almost reaches her and she could not move because she was there for more than an hour and she was frozen. I went out to look for Sharon and fortunately I saw her crying. I was wondering coz I dont know the reason why she was crying. Was she crying of her heart torn into pieces or because the tide is so high which the seawater could take her alive. I was really worried and the same laughing. I brought Sharon to our place. AND there she was again. Gulp the bottle of wine until she passed out. We went home after this. Third memory with this two buddies was playing tennis. Maricirs (the amateur-amateur player) spent most of her time looking and chasing her balls. Rhea, Me myself and I (the out of fad) wore sweater and denim skirt hehehe...Sharon preferred to play badminton with strangers. LOL... Fourth, we hit KTV even though I was suffering from extreme dry cough and sore throat. We stayed in the KTV for 2 hours. I was trying hard to sing well. Well, this was the only time I had husky voice.
There are many memories I had with two great buddies in China, to many to count, some are sad memories, some are extremely wild (PG 13). This memories remain unforgotten for ages. We may not see them physically nor contact with them often, still the memories remain there that keep us smile every time we are sad
surely you earhzondi, a tough woman!
ReplyDeleteDeciding of staying away in the Philippines while working "alone" in China was a very surprising step she made. Apart from not constantly communicating, it was sudden news from hometown that our earhzondi, has now been months working abroad, struggling all by herself. Months have been waited to hear from her when she suddenly called. I felt joy when i came to know she's been having great time working,. Thanks to people who accompanies her right now.
Though, i am delighted with her new friends, still Tres Marias company will forever be here for you..
